Imagine this: You're a waitress and you're told that if you have the most sales for a particular time period, you will win a Toyota. Well, of course, you work hard and you win and you win your Toyota, which happens to not be exactly what you thought.

Apparently, it was all part of an elaborate April Fool's Day joke. A really good one at that. I don't know why she wanted to sue. Who cares. If you actually click through to the source (snopes.com), you'll see that the woman actually won her case, but my question is, "who cares?"
How was it possible that the case even managed to go to court? Aren't there murders and rapists and armed thieves running around the nation uncaught, unpunished and unaccounted for? And yet, this woman, because she was basically pranked, was able to sue a large corporation and win?
And people wonder how the American justice system could be so out of whack.
As you might have guessed, I was stretching for a subject for the day, but this lady happened to pop on my screen at just the right time. Thank you for that.
So what have we learned, children? First: don't work at Hooters and enter a contest on April Fool's Day. You're bound to not win what you think you won. Second: if you have a ridiculous idea for a lawsuit, try it out because you might actually win and bring a major corporation to its knees.
