Wow. I'm not even halfway through the month and I'm already stretching to find subject matter for the blog? That's just sad. I mean, I could talk about baseball, but the fact that the Diamondbacks are no longer involved in the playoffs, it makes it a little harder for me to pay attention. Well, I kind of do. I at least see the scores to see who has won and what team might be a step closer to the World Series, but I don't put a lot of attention into the playoffs since, like I said, the Diamondbacks are done. I do however, would like to see the Rangers win. They were really close last year and were beat by the better team. But this year, the Rangers have improved and are now they are the better team with a chance to remove the "crazy to think they're in the playoffs" Cardinals or even the "who would have thought they were marginally good this year" Brewers.
So then what will happen? I mean, after today, with the Tigers winning Game 5, will the Rangers be able to close it out in Texas? And with the Cardinals losing Game 4 to the Brewers, does this mean that the Brewers have decided to actually play good baseball again? Who knows? As they say, "that's why they play the game." And yet, I don't really care too much. Like I said, it would be cool to see the Rangers win the World Series because they haven't before. The Brewers have won before, so why not let someone win who hasn't in the past, even if the past was almost thirty years ago.
Regardless of time frame right now, the Rangers seem to be the team to beat. The Tigers have tried and their star pitcher, Justin Verlander, held the Rangers in check. Today. His record in the playoffs was not that good until today and that was just because he got lucky a few times.
I suppose I'll just have to wait a few more days to find out what teams will be in the World Series. I think, either way, I probably won't be watching most of the games. Perhaps the first game because they always do a really cool introduction with some really good narrator. But that's probably it. They need to bring back James Earl Jones to talk or something. Darth Vader's the best.
Until tomorrow.
