A good friend of mine started his own blog recently. His blog is is like other blogs out there: he finds something he wants to talk about and then talks about it. However, what makes his blog very different from others is the fact that he goes and looks for news articles and then links to them. What's so different about that, you might ask?
Well, he links to the story and then gives his own one to two sentence recap of the news story. His contribution is actually sifting through the commentary that has been placed below each story and finding his own unique take on the news items.
One such unique news item is his most current blog post / news story. It is about two teenage girls that sunbathe on a highway and end up getting run over. Smart. While the story itself has a happy ending, it is what my friend has found in the comments section that is so funny. Take a look at his blog to read some of the commentary.
So far, in just over a week, he seems to have found some articles that are cringe worthy of normal journalists but are fodder for more common sense practicing members of society. I encourage you to visit his blog and enjoy just like I have when I see that he has added a new entry.
I'll add a link to his blog on the right hand side so you can take a look. It's also linked in the first paragraph up there.
Well, I've almost done it. Thirty blogs in thirty days. But wait, my label shows 31 in 31. Unfortunately, April did not have 31 days in it. Fortunately, though, I can simply add more extra day and I will do just that. In order to keep the practice of 31 blog posts in 31 days, I will add one extra day to April even if the calendars don't reflect it.
Until tomorrow.
