Don't you hate it when you make a promise to blog every single day of a month and then you can't come up with something good to write about? Let's see, it's 9th, right? That means I've managed to have something to say for eight straight days and now I run out? I figured I would have run out in about a week or so as I got closer to the middle of the month or even toward the end. Not this early. So, what shall I talk about?
I could talk about some of the news of the day.
Like Instagram being purchased by Facebook. First of all, I know and understand the concept of Instagram and I think it's actually a cool idea to make your pictures look faded and grainy, but why does Facebook need to own it? It's like Facebook sees something shiny and new (and that people are actually using - especially young people) and want it. They want what the kids are using, since it's getting very apparent that kids are not using Facebook as much as they used to. Maybe it's the fact that Facebook sees themselves as the "watchdog" over the world and needs to ensure that status by controlling all of the pictures that you take with your camera phones. "Oh no!!"
Just kidding.
Why can't people just agree that it's a sound business deal? Yes, Mark Zuckerberg (the guy who founded Facebook) may be a jerk (I didn't see The Social Network, but I've heard enough stories) and he may not be a sound businessman, but he knows a winner when he sees one. And he saw one in Instagram. Let's just hope that he doesn't run Instagram into the ground like he did with that whole Facebook debacle. Not sure the tech world could handle all that.
Huh. What do you know. For someone that didn't have anything to talk about when I first started typing, I came up with something fast. I guess that whole "imagination" thing (see the post a couple of entries below this one) is working pretty good.
Until tomorrow.
