So today has been a long day and I can't think of anything to write about. It's not that there's not plenty of strange news. I just read an article about a Kindergartner that brought heroin to his school for show and tell. I wonder what he called it? Sugar? Flour? Powder? Who knows. But I'm not here to rant on that. It's unfortunate for the child that his stepfather had the stuff lying around in the first place for him to grab. It's also unfortunate that the kid didn't get paid when the teacher took it away from him. Kidding. I do not condone drug use, especially for a five year old. Wait for your double digits little man. Again, kidding.
So, what else to talk about?
I could talk about the Phoenix Coyotes in the Stanley Cup playoffs, but as I don't follow hockey, it would be better to follow my brother in law on Twitter (@dave_zorn). He knows what he's talking about and actually has good things to say.
I could talk about baseball and how the Diamondbacks won tonight, though, the fact that they were playing the Pittsburgh Pirates, it was a pretty good chance they would win (sorry Pirates fans, if there are any).
I could tell you about the latest audiobook that I finished. It's called Divergent, by Veronica Roth. But some of you may not really care about dystopian novels, so there's no need to really tell you much other than the fact that it had a good narrative, told from the first person and though the ending came rather suddenly, the build up to the end of the novel was done very well.
I suppose I've written enough to get away with a "standard blog post". Maybe something will happen tomorrow that will prompt a much better blog post than tonight. Plus, maybe I'll be a little better rested. But as I am trying to write every single day, I must continue until the end of the month, if not longer.
I've got an idea. If there is some topic/book/movie/etc. you would like me to write about, just let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Until tomorrow.
