Another slow day in the life of Chris. Therefore, I bring you this chilling news:
Gas loving spider prompts Mazda recall
If you're not willing to follow the link for fear of the creepy crawlies, then by all means, let me sum up. Basically, there is a kind of spider that has been known to reside in the gas tanks of some Mazda motor vehicles. Because of these spiders, some fuel tanks have become cracked or caused increase of pressure in the fuel line, which is just bad.
So now I not only have to worry about Toyota recalls because they don't want to stop when they are supposed to, I have to worry about spiders in my gas tank? This isn't right. Can't we just have a car that runs normally and doesn't have any problems? Oh wait, these are foreign cars, right? Hmmmm.
Well, I'm sure that American cars have their own problems. Oh wait, it's hard to find an American made car these days. Tough call.
I suppose if I get a car, it's not going to be a Mazda because of the spiders. But do I want a Toyota that's not going to stop? And if I want a vehicle that's going to work right, how much extra do I have to spend? Do full working vehicles cost more than the broken ones? Where's the fairness in that? And then there's the whole price of gas thing. Maybe I need an electric vehicle to plug into the three charging stations that I know of within about a fifty mile radius. Not bad. Oh well. I'll sleep on it and decide later. Good luck to me in that decision making process.
Until tomorrow.

I am so not ok with spiders in my gas tank. Now I'm going to be afraid to gas up (although, I own a Toyota, so I guess that implies I'll actually stop at the gas station...)
