A Baby Is A Blessing

So, how do you stop a baby from constantly eating her hands, spitting up, crying uncontrollably, waking up several times a night or even rolling over faster than you can say, "Go!"?  There's no advice here.  This is simply a question that I have and I really don't expect any answers, mostly because I already know the answers and that's basically - it's a phase.

I mean, it's kind of cute when she takes the pacifier out of her mouth and replaces it with her own hands.  And yes, it's cute and a surprise when she rolls over on her own and smiles about it.  But think about this:

  • eating her hands and then she touches everything, it gets sticky
  • spitting up on her clothes/bib/whatever, everything gets sticky
  • waking up in the middle of the night makes it very difficult to survive the next day, especially if they are busy days
  • and the whole, rolling thing?  great, until you realize that you must now keep an eye on her so that she doesn't roll off the blanket or into a desk or a chair or get herself stepped on
And those are just some of the basics.

Parenthood is great, don't get me wrong.  I just think I need a little bit of sleep.  That might help.  Oh wait, there she goes, rolling again.  Maybe I can get the cat to watch her while I take a nap.

Until tomorrow.
