You would think that I would simply want to talk about the movie and that I would start s movie review and tell you Will Smith really came into his own as an action star with this movie. And how Bill Pullman does a good job playing the affable president who also flies a jet and leads th US pilots agaist the aliens. Oops, spoiler. Oh well.
Anyway...what this post is really about is independence. Everyone wants to be independent, but people have a need for dependency as well. This confusion leads people to look for someone that they can depend on, but not someone that will style their independence. There is a careful balance when it comes to this, but once you can figure it our, life is good. To be dependent on someone for love and companionship is a wonderful thing as long as each person can still be who they are on their own.
Independence is a good thing to an extent and as long as you can find the independence that you seek, all will be right in the world.
