No, this is not a blog entry about some sort of crime drama on tv, though I'm sure one has been named Street Justice at some point in the past, or will be in the future. This blog entry is about crazy drivers. While I myself am a semi crazy driver, I make sure to follow most of the rules of the road and don't speed too much. What I saw on the road today was enough to make anyone scared for their life.
Take for example, simply driving on a main street to get to the freeway and a BMW decided to cut me off before a red light. One incident, fine, no big deal. No. He had to cut another person off before another red light. And then he ran a red light. And where were the cops? Nowhere.
Next example: on the freeway headed to meet some friends for dinner. A silver blur passes the car and begins to weave in and out of traffic. Moments later, a second blur streaks by, also weaving in and out of traffic. No cops. But wait, what's this in the rearview mirror? A motorcycle cop. Surely he can't catch either of these two speed demons, right? But he initiates super light speed on his cycle and he's over the horizon before you can think speed of sound. He still can't catch them, right? A few minutes later, we see the white car on the side of the road - the second offender - and the cop giving him a ticket. Classic.
That right there folks was street justice. A cop finally being in the right place at the right time. It doesn't happen to often, but when it does, it makes me happy. It made my day. Kind of a sad day if all I needed was to see a cop pull someone over. Oh well. It was such a cool thing to see.
Until tomorrow.
