The first blog of the New Year should set the tone for the coming year, right? Wrong. In my case, it’s just like all the others in the past – somewhat witty and somewhat random. But there’s nothing wrong with that, right? Of course not.
As you know, we like to go to Disneyland. Who wouldn’t? Last year, we managed to get to Disneyland thirty times. Can we break that record this year? Let's hope so because we have decided that this year will be the last year that we renew our Annual Passes for a while. This way we can enjoy other adventures and opportunities around Southern California. As a way of saying goodbye to our passes, we wanted to do something special.
Prepare yourself peoples. Beginning with our next trip to Disneyland (which, at this rate, won’t be until the middle or the end of January), we are going to start getting as many Fast Passes as possible and hoard them. Not for our own sake, though. No. We plan on handing out these Fast Passes to anyone that happens to strike our fancy. That means it could be any random person that Joanna or I deem in dire straits about getting onto a ride which they are unable to by normal means (that was a lot of fancy words in that sentence).
Basically, we’re going to get Fast Passes and then pass them out randomly in order to boost our own morale about helping people at Disneyland. Let’s just call it a Pay It Forward method. We’ve been offered Fast Passes in the past and been very appreciative of those passing them out, so now it’s time to reciprocate.
Get ready Disneyland. Joanna and Chris are out to let others ride on the good rides without trying to use the Fast Passes for themselves. Unless it’s Space Mountain. Or Star Tours. Or Indiana Jones. Or Soarin’ Over California. Or Tower of Terror. Or California Screamin’.
Kidding.
Or am I?
Come to Disneyland and hope to find out.
Until next time.
